Privacy Policy

01The short version

Pawmoku has no accounts, no email sign-in, no ads and no tracking. We do not sell data or share it for advertising. The game has no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

The game uses a small amount of data, tied to a random anonymous ID, to run daily team scores, your Treats wallet, purchases, challenges and invites.

02Your anonymous player ID

The game creates a random identifier on your device. It is not your name, email address or device identifier.

This ID is kept in your device keychain. If you use the platform's keychain sync, it follows you to other devices on the same account, so your Treats balance comes with you.

03What the game sends

Our server receives the following information:

• When the app first connects: your team, app version, generated display name and invite code. These let us recognise your player record and run the game.
• Daily results: the puzzle number, solve time, whether a hint or check was used, and whether it was your first attempt. We use this for team standings.
• Your Treats wallet: what was earned or spent, how much, why and when. This keeps your balance correct across devices.
• Purchases: the signed purchase record from the App Store, including transaction ID, product, purchase date, storefront country, price and currency, and your anonymous ID. The App Store also tells our server about refunds. We never receive payment details, your name or your email from a purchase.
• Connection data: our server receives your IP address with each request and keeps standard logs for security and reliability. Log retention: [TO FILL: connection log retention].
• Challenges and invites: the board, times and codes needed to compare times and give invite rewards.
• Gameplay events: a small set of events such as finishing the tutorial, starting or finishing a level, using a hint, viewing the shop or sharing a result. We use these only to understand and improve the game, never for advertising. We never combine them with data from other companies.

What stays on your device: saved boards and progress, settings, your local notification schedule, and items bought with Treats, including skins, themes, unlocked past dailies and held streak freezes. [CONFIRM: decision 14, which items stay on the device].

04How data is processed

05Purchases

Purchases are processed by the App Store under its terms and privacy practices. We use purchase records to deliver Treats, keep your balance correct and handle refunds.

06Notifications

Daily reminders and similar notices are scheduled on your device. We do not use a push service. You can manage notifications in your device settings.

07How long data is kept

We keep data only for the purposes explained in this policy. Purchase records are kept as long as needed for accounting and refunds.

08Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes its locally stored game data. Your anonymous ID may remain in the device keychain after the app is deleted, including through keychain sync.

To request deletion of data on our server, write to support@pawmoku.com. Your invite code helps us find the record. [CONFIRM: the app shows the invite code in Settings]. Because the code is shared in invite links, it is never proof that a record is yours.

09When you email us

We receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use them only to answer you, keep them for [TO FILL: support correspondence retention], and delete them on request.

10This website

This website sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and runs no analytics. The practice puzzle stays in the page's memory and is cleared when you leave or reload it.

Our website host may keep standard server logs, including IP address, time and page requested, for security for a limited period. [TO FILL: website host and log retention].

11Children

The game is rated 4+ and is for a general audience. It asks for no name, email or other contact details.

12Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the EU, UK or California, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a portable copy of your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Write to support@pawmoku.com to exercise a right. We will explain what information we need to verify your request and respond within the period required by applicable law. An invite code alone does not verify ownership.
